Vitamin D3 is one of the key vitamins for our body, as it contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, maintaining healthy bones and teeth, and the normal functioning of muscles.
The body mainly produces it when exposed to sunlight, but smaller amounts can also be consumed through diet. Natural sources of vitamin D include mainly fatty fish, fish oil, egg yolk, and some fortified foods, but with a regular diet, it is often difficult to ensure an adequate intake.

Each softgel contains 5,000 IU, equivalent to 125 µg, of vitamin D3 dissolved in high-quality olive oil. As vitamin D is fat-soluble, an oil-based formulation is a suitable form in which to take it.
